I believe we all have the ability to heal ourselves – it’s just finding the way to do it.
My working history before counselling was predominantly face to face interaction within a civil service setting. I am a mother, step-mother, grandmother, mother to a fur baby and previously a foster mother and have volunteered at different levels within a local hospice, primary schools and with survivors of abuse and sexual violence.
The extensive counselling experience I have gained comes from working within charity settings, education and private practice. My work is with both male and female clients of all ages (13yrs +) who come presenting issues that can cause them emotional pain and distress, uncertainty and self-doubt or harbour a feeling of something holding them back in life – not living life to the full.
Working face to face in the clients home and also by offering online sessions can add an element of convenience and flexibility for clients. I am a Registered Member of BACP, a professional association for members of the counselling profession in the UK. By being a member I am bound by an Ethical Framework which offers commitment to clients, ethical standards and boundaries plus guidance on good practice
